In a world that denies emotions, where the ruling Psy punish any sign of desire, Sascha Duncan must conceal the feelings that brand her as flawed. To reveal them would be to sentence herself to the horror of “rehabilitation”—the complete psychic erasure of everything she ever was... Both human and animal, Lucas Hunter is a Changeling hungry for the very sensations the Psy disdain. After centuries of uneasy coexistence, these two races are now on the verge of war over the brutal murders of several Changeling women. Lucas is determined to find the Psy killer who butchered his packmate, and Sascha is his ticket into their closely guarded society. But he soon discovers that this ice-cold Psy is very capable of passion—and that the animal in him is fascinated by her. Caught between their conflicting worlds, Lucas and Sascha must remain bound to their identities—or sacrifice everything for a taste of darkest temptation...

My Review:

I absolutely loved this book. I give it 5 out of 5 stars.

A book will mean more to a reader depending on the time in their life it is read. This book caught me at the right time because I loved it. I loved the story, loved the characters, loved the world, loved the plot. I have nothing bad to say about this book.

The world this book takes place, a fictional San Francisco in the year 2079 is well developed and it made me think. What if emotion was wiped out of a species, how would they be. What kind of world would they live in.

There is no defined battle between good vs. evil. Nothing and no one is all good or all bad.

This book has deeply passionate scenes. If you blush easy, be warned. This book has really hot sex scenes.

I will admit, I am a sucker for the character Lucas. He is alpha and possessive (also violent, not against the heroine, but still violent). He makes no excuses about who he is.

I also liked the way Sascha, the heroine could be with such an Alpha male without turning into a total patsy.

Anyways enough of my ramblings, Go buy and read the book.
